SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS • INITIATIVE 04
Equipping rural and tribal youth with market-relevant skills, sustainable trade tools, and micro-enterprise capabilities to secure dignified, lasting livelihoods.
THE GAP
Youth in remote districts of Chhattisgarh often complete schooling with few viable local employment opportunities. Without marketable technical skills or enterprise support, many face low-wage informal exploitation or distressing migration to distant urban centres.
Dreamnest Foundation creates targeted vocational training programs that harness regional natural resource opportunities and green trades, enabling youth to thrive within their own communities.
PRACTICAL PATHWAYS
Training in solar panel maintenance, rural electrification, equipment repair, and eco-friendly construction techniques.
Equipping youth to process and package non-timber forest produce, organic honey, and indigenous crops for fair market prices.
Teaching basic accounting, digital smartphone transactions, inventory management, and business plan creation.
Connecting skilled village artisans and micro-entrepreneurs directly to regional markets, cooperatives, and fair-trade buyers.
PROJECTED IMPACT
Graduates successfully securing regular local employment or establishing self-employed trade workshops.
Youth choosing rewarding village-based vocations over unsafe, poorly compensated seasonal migration.
Readily available local technicians for solar energy maintenance, agricultural equipment, and eco-infrastructure.
Trade curriculum finalization and partner training centre assessments are underway in target districts. Verified certification figures and employment tracking will be published upon cohort graduations.
Your support provides vocational toolkits, trainer honorariums, and workshop materials for aspiring tribal youth.
