GENDER EQUITY • INITIATIVE 03
Fostering leadership, financial independence, self-help collectives, and social dignity for rural and tribal women across Chhattisgarh.
THE REALITY
In rural and tribal Chhattisgarh, women perform the majority of agrarian and household labor, yet frequently lack formal land rights, credit access, and a voice in community decisions. Economic dependency and social exclusion keep their immense potential suppressed.
Dreamnest Foundation views women not merely as beneficiaries, but as primary drivers of family prosperity, child education, and ecological balance. When women thrive, whole communities transform.
PATHWAYS TO EQUALITY
Organizing women into cohesive Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with structured internal savings and bank credit linkages.
Training women in value addition of local forest products, organic horticulture, and indigenous handicrafts.
Conducting workshops on constitutional rights, land entitlements, domestic safety laws, and social security access.
Building public speaking, negotiation, and leadership skills to encourage active participation in Gram Sabhas.
TRANSFORMATIVE IMPACT
Increased independent financial savings and bank linkages managed by women-led village collectives.
Greater representation and assertive participation of women members in local Gram Sabhas and village governance.
Direct investment of women's income into children's nutrition, schooling, and healthcare.
Self-Help Group mapping and baseline socio-economic evaluations are underway in designated blocks of Chhattisgarh. Audited group metrics and enterprise case studies will be published as initiatives mature.
Your donation provides seed capital, financial training, and enterprise mentorship for tribal and rural women in Chhattisgarh.
